When cared for and washed correctly, a silk pillowcase will last for years to come
Silk should be washed gently by hand or in a machine at 30 degrees on a silk wash program, with a mild detergent, without bleach or fabric softener. When machine washing, the pillowcase should be protected in a washing bag and the spin speed should be kept low, around 600–800 rpm. Silk should not be tumble dried, but should be dried flat and ironed into shape.
